Dell gets on-board new partners for Smart City, IoT deals

Dell has announced the Smart City Partner Ecosystem, a
network of organizations with technology expertise, to bag the Smart City and
IoT deals in India, Infotechlead reported.

network of organizations with technology expertise, to bag the Smart City and
IoT deals in India, Infotechlead reported.

The aim of Dell is to bag maximum projects in the Smart City
and IoT space. The network has 12 partners. Dell will bring more partners
later. Dell along with its partners will jointly go to market with end-to-end
offerings. Dell aims to take on Cisco, HPE and IBM in the Indian smart city
space.

India government aims to set up 100 Smart Cities to improve
the quality of life for residents and visitors.

A report in MarketsandMarkets says the global market size of
Smart Cities is estimated to grow from $312.03 billion in 2015 to $757.74
billion by 2020, at an estimated CAGR of 19.4 percent from 2015 to 2020.

Government organizations across regions such as China,
Japan, Singapore, and India have pledged to develop advanced smart city. The
government in India has allotted close to $1.15 billion for the development of
smart cities.

Ravinder P Singh, director – IoT, Smart Cities,
